and so…

the doctor said i’m under tremendous pressure and stress, and overworked myself.

no prizes for guessing the correct answer why.

mathemagical trail

18 09 2007

maths trail was a blast. weather was hot hot hot (so was i) and everything was indeed spledid! i’m so happy it ended on a good note.

here’s my reflections, from the development of activities and executing the trail:

. never admit defeat (even though there’s piles and piles and piles of outstanding work waiting for you) keep on going and keep on going. there was never a chance i took a break while developing the activities. i stayed up late after work, was sick for a few days but survived rain and shine in the school for 3 hours and, together with my collegue, battled the minimal things we had around school to present the students the best possible activities we can come up with and prove to the students (and school) that maths is indeed, all around us.

. be open to criticism and always always ask for feedbacks. the thing about criticism is 1) you either swallow it and make everthing else better or 2) you grumble and insist your idea is always the best possible. i started out developing this activity an amateur. all there was to it was counting and counting the things all around the school. but with the feedbacks and again the help of my collegue (who was a born genius. grr.)  things started picking up and became better than it was. i guess i’m still an amateur but this experience was a fruitful one.

. take everything with a pinch of salt and enjoy. executing the trail was a challenge because we were all fasting and for me, i had a training for some of the facilitators in the earlier part of the morning and had the afternoon trail with the kids. so you can imagine all the talking i had to do, especially with 18 kids all ready to squeeze out all the energy you have. their teacher came along too so it was pretty pressurising, knowing they’re watching your every step! but like i said, i enjoyed myself and that’s all that matters.

on a brighter note, that’s one school already out of my ‘things to do’ list. now back to the waiting pile of work. i need better organisation skills man.

somebody better do something about this

i’ve always been a fan of long john silver’s but in recent years, it seems eating goreng pisang is much much satisfying.

somebody better do something about this.

fair enough, long john offer a reasonable price for its meals complete with a drink and a side. but gorengpisang-sized chicken? err…

ok fine. since you have hershey’s sundae pie (was it you or burger king?) and skin on potato chips top off with salsa cheese, i forgive you.

makes me damn hungry man.

dinner 07

2 09 2007

and sooo, there goes another solid month. end of month was teacher’s day dinner where i was humiliated with my big aphrodisiac hair, nominated for miss cutie, becos of my damn hair yet again (thank god i didnt win cos if i did, i’d hav to bring home a bloody big turtle soft toy) and my table won the ad game for a feathered mask which we named the i-mask.

good as it was, end of the night we lepak-ed at arab st sipping arab iced lemon tea which i didnt know was supposed to be tasteless (well not to my liking by the way) and sheesha (which got seri high and blabbering bimbo crap, i was scared she couldnt drive me home).

but home i was and the rest of the weekend was spent cleaning up my room (still looks the same) and catching up with my well-deserved sleep. ahh.

here’s my very limited pictures, which only means it’d cost more if sold.
